Lisa LeBlanc – A Fleeting Thought Becomes Another Fleeting Thought

LeBlanc’s sixth album lands January 29, 2027 on Bonsound, the follow-up to 2022’s “Chiac Disco” and 2024’s live record with l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec. “A Fleeting Thought Becomes Another Fleeting Thought” opens the album and is out now.

The song runs on a repeated line that gives the title its shape, stacked over a fast, driving rhythm that never really lets up. The verses circle a specific kind of stuck: unfinished things piling up, blocking the door and the light, a draft you can feel but can’t trace to any one leak. What I like is how literal LeBlanc gets about that stuck feeling rather than dressing it up. Herding sheep through kaleidoscope goggles is a strange image, but it lands exactly the way distraction actually feels.
